About John Green
John grew up in Nashville and raised his family in the same house on 18th Avenue South where he has lived for more than 30 years. He attended Christ the King for grade school and Father Ryan High School, and holds a BA in English Literature and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
For over 15 years, John has been active in real estate property management and construction project management in the Greater Nashville area.
In 2017, John started his own company, Green Building Management Services, LLC where he provides services to a diverse portfolio of residential Homeowners Associations, commercial properties, institutions, and private residences in the Nashville area.
In his time in the housing industry, John has managed a wide array of property types at a range of affordability levels, from high end single family homes and associations to low income properties with Section 8 renters.
His day to day responsibilities of managing property are very similar to the constituent services of a Council member: enforcing regulations, handling traffic, creating safe neighborhoods, code compliance, and bring neighbors together to create better communities.
